CHAPTER 6

"Come on, baby, let's sip a little more of this. This is good booze!" Walter exclaimed. The fifty-five year old traveling salesman chuckled and raised the pint of liquor to Selina's lips. As he moved, his elbow bumped hard against the steering wheel of the car. He was none too sober himself. "You don't want to waste any of this! Drink up!"

"I'm drunk," Selina said. She shook her head at the proffered bottle, burped, then started giggling uproariously. "No more, Walter, no more... I'm drunk already... can't even see!" Selina giggled some more. "No more booze!"

"You got to drink it up, baby!" Walter protested. "Shit, this is all there is!"

Selina laughed, her cheeks flushing deeply. A young couple passed by Walter's car, a rented sedan, which was at the rear of the shopping center parking lot. From the corner of her eye Selina saw the two glance at them, staring at the incredible spectacle of an older man and a teenage girl getting drunk in a car in the middle of the afternoon.

Selina paid no attention to them. When they had passed she stared drunkenly through the windshield, watching the shoppers moving to their cars at the busy end of the lot, the sunlight reflecting off the glass windows of Macy's and Penny's, Montgomery Ward's and ToysRUs. Walter held the bottle in front of her face to block her view. Selina laughed and laughed.

"Drink it, baby! Get nice and drunk!"

"I'm already drunk," Selina said, giggling as she pushed the bottle away. "Hic... awww Walter, I'm so smashed. I must be... hee hee... drunkest girl in this parking lot!"

Walter laughed happily. Selina took the bottle suddenly from his hand and tilted it to her lips. The smooth Scotch rushed down her throat, warming her stomach, making her a little bit drunker than she'd been before. Selina giggled and drank. She had intended to kill the bottle all along. Anything was better than being sober.

When she was sober she knew what a whore she'd turned into. A month passed since her first meeting with Philip, and in that time Mr. Williams had more than accomplished his objective. Every trace of conscience and self-respect had been stripped from her mind. If she wasn't a whore, she was at least his slave.

Though she hardly ever saw her master. Selina lived in his house now. She hadn't seen her alcoholic mother in three weeks. She ate Philip's food, drank his booze, slept in his guest room. But when she tried to approach him, for the kind of fucking he had seduced her with in the first place, he was either busy or gone.

Philip's intentions were clear now. He'd never intended to degrade her so he could have her body himself. No. She was a teenage concubine, a well-kept lure used only to attract some of Philip's more important clients.

Mick had only been the first. Many had followed - first, a representative from a pharmaceuticals firm, then Frank, a vice-president, then George, some kind of promotional agent.
